The Leybold VARODRY VD 100 HD/O₂ is a high-performance, oil-free dry screw vacuum pump designed for demanding industrial processes involving oxygen, aggressive gases, vapours and applications where hydrocarbon contamination must be minimized. Delivering approximately 105 m³/h (62 CFM) of pumping speed with an ultimate pressure below 0.01 mbar, the VD 100 provides an excellent balance of pumping capacity, compact size and energy efficiency.

The HD/O₂ configuration incorporates a dedicated purge system and specialized construction for demanding oxygen and harsh-process applications. By eliminating vacuum oil from the compression process, the VD 100 HD/O₂ avoids oil changes, oil disposal and oil backstreaming while providing a cleaner vacuum environment than conventional oil-sealed pumps.

The pump is forced-air cooled and uses a robust dry-screw design, making it particularly attractive for applications where cooling water, vacuum oil or frequent pump maintenance are undesirable. With a water-vapour capacity of approximately 2.9 kg/h with gas ballast, it is also well suited to processes involving moisture and condensable vapours.

Typical applications include oxygen service, industrial gas handling, vacuum drying, degassing, chemical processing, battery manufacturing, heat treatment, industrial furnaces, plasma and coating processes, semiconductor manufacturing and other demanding industrial applications where clean, oil-free vacuum is required.

The VD 100 HD/O₂ is an ideal choice for customers who need more pumping capacity than a VD65 but do not require the larger footprint and capacity of a VD160.
