Overview
The Leybold VARODRY VD 200 is a high-capacity, oil-free dry screw vacuum pump designed for demanding industrial vacuum applications where clean, reliable and low-maintenance vacuum is required. Delivering approximately 185 m³/h (109 CFM) of pumping speed and reaching an ultimate pressure of approximately 0.01 mbar without gas ballast, the VD 200 is the largest standard pump in the VARODRY range.
The 230/460 V, 60 Hz, three-phase configuration uses a 4 kW motor and forced-air cooling, eliminating the need for cooling water while completely removing vacuum oil from the compression process. This eliminates routine oil changes and oil disposal while preventing oil backstreaming and reducing the risk of process contamination associated with conventional oil-sealed pumps.
With a water-vapour capacity of approximately 6.9 kg/h with gas ballast, the VD 200 is particularly well suited to industrial processes involving moisture, vapours and condensable loads. Its robust dry-screw design makes it an excellent choice for large vacuum chambers, heat-treatment furnaces, industrial drying, degassing, coating and PVD systems, battery manufacturing, industrial cleaning, composite processing and other production applications.
This configuration is supplied without the optional purge gas module, making it an economical choice for applications that do not require continuous purge protection. For processes involving aggressive or reactive gases, oxygen service or significant process contamination, the VD 200 purge or HD/O₂ configuration should be evaluated instead.
The VARODRY VD 200 provides a compelling alternative to conventional oil-sealed pumps when you need high pumping speed while reducing maintenance, eliminating vacuum oil and improving process cleanliness.
The VD 200 delivers 185 m³/h of clean, oil-free industrial vacuum without the maintenance burden of a conventional oil-sealed pump.
