Overview
The Leybold CLAWVAC CP 150 is a high-flow, oil-free dry claw vacuum pump designed for demanding industrial rough-vacuum applications where reliable gas throughput, rugged construction and clean operation are critical.
Delivering approximately 184 m³/h of pumping speed at 60 Hz with an ultimate pressure of approximately 50 mbar, the CP 150 is built to evacuate large volumes quickly without using vacuum oil in the compression chamber. Its 3.7 kW, 3-phase 230/460 V motor and air-cooled design make it well suited to continuous industrial operation.
The CLAWVAC design incorporates stainless-steel claw rotors, a corrosion-resistant pump chamber and a segregated gearbox that helps prevent gearbox lubricant from contaminating the process. The pump is designed for demanding applications involving particles and vapours and can be cleaned when required.
The CP 150 is particularly well suited to thermoforming, plastics processing, extruder degassing, vacuum conveying, granulate handling, composites, vacuum lifting and other high-throughput rough-vacuum applications.
Its key advantage is high gas throughput rather than deep vacuum. With approximately 184 m³/h of pumping speed, the CP 150 is an excellent choice when the customer needs to evacuate a large system quickly but does not require the deep vacuum capability of a dry screw pump such as the VARODRY VD 160.
For customers replacing an oil-sealed pump in a demanding industrial application, the CLAWVAC CP 150 provides a rugged, clean and oil-free alternative with significantly reduced risk of process contamination and the ongoing oil-maintenance requirements of conventional rotary-vane technology.
