Overview
The Leybold CLAWVAC CP 65 is a compact, oil-free dry claw vacuum pump designed for demanding industrial rough-vacuum applications where high gas throughput, rugged construction and clean operation are important.
Delivering approximately 79 m³/h of pumping speed at 60 Hz with an ultimate pressure of approximately 50 mbar, the CP 65 provides strong rough-vacuum performance in a compact industrial package. The 3-phase 230/460 V, 60 Hz configuration uses a 2.2 kW IE3 motor and air cooling with IP54 protection.
The CLAWVAC dry-claw design eliminates vacuum oil from the compression chamber and incorporates stainless-steel claw rotors, a corrosion-resistant pump chamber and a segregated gearbox that helps prevent gearbox lubricant from contaminating the process. The pump is designed for demanding applications involving particles and vapours and can be cleaned when required.
The CP 65 is ideally suited to thermoforming, plastics processing, vacuum conveying, granulate handling, extruder degassing, composites, vacuum lifting and other industrial applications where the customer needs high gas throughput rather than deep vacuum.
For customers replacing an oil-sealed rotary-vane pump, the CLAWVAC CP 65 provides a clean, rugged and oil-free alternative with reduced oil maintenance and reduced risk of process contamination.
The CP 65 is the compact entry point into the CLAWVAC B range: when the application needs roughly 80 m³/h of rough-vacuum pumping capacity, but doesn't require the deeper vacuum capability of a VARODRY dry screw pump, it is an excellent fit.
