Overview
The Leybold DIVAC® 1.4 HV3C is a compact, three-stage, dry diaphragm vacuum pump specifically designed for laboratory applications where clean, oil-free vacuum must be combined with resistance to aggressive gases and solvent vapours.
Delivering approximately 1.3 m³/h (0.77 CFM) of pumping speed with an ultimate pressure of 2 mbar, the DIVAC 1.4 HV3C provides excellent low-pressure performance from a compact 8.6 kg package. Its three-stage diaphragm design provides strong performance in the lower rough-vacuum range, making it well suited to both chemical laboratory vacuum systems and turbomolecular-pump backing.
The major advantage of the HV3C is its chemically resistant construction. The pumped-gas path incorporates a PTFE-coated diaphragm and FFPM valves, providing substantially better resistance to aggressive gases and solvent vapours than a conventional laboratory diaphragm pump.
Because the pump is completely dry, there is no vacuum oil in the pumped-gas path. This eliminates oil backstreaming and reduces the risk of hydrocarbon contamination in sensitive laboratory and high-vacuum equipment.
The 1-phase 90–230 V, 50/60 Hz electrical configuration, 135 W rated motor, approximately 48 dB(A) operating noise and compact 324 × 226 × 158 mm footprint make the HV3C easy to integrate into laboratory and analytical equipment.
Typical applications include chemical laboratories, solvent handling, vacuum drying, analytical instrumentation, pharmaceutical research, aggressive-gas applications and turbomolecular-pump backing where chemical resistance is required.
For customers who need more than a standard dry diaphragm pump, the DIVAC 1.4 HV3C provides the combination of 1.3 m³/h pumping speed, 2 mbar ultimate pressure, oil-free operation and chemically resistant construction that makes it particularly attractive for demanding laboratory vacuum systems.
The DIVAC 1.4 HV3C is the pump to bring in when you need clean turbo backing or laboratory vacuum and the gases being pumped are aggressive enough that a standard diaphragm pump isn't the right choice.
