Overview
The Leybold ECODRY 40 plus 120 V 1Ph is a high-performance dry vacuum pump designed for laboratory, analytical and research applications where clean vacuum, low noise and simple installation are important.
Delivering up to 40 m³/h of pumping speed with an ultimate pressure below 0.03 mbar, the ECODRY 40 provides significantly more pumping capacity than a typical small laboratory vacuum pump while maintaining a compact and quiet design. Its eight-stage dry multistage Roots technology produces vacuum without lubricant contacting the pumped gas, making it an excellent alternative to conventional oil-sealed pumps where contamination and oil backstreaming are concerns.
The 161040V21 configuration operates from 120 V ±10%, 50/60 Hz single-phase power, making it particularly easy to install in North American laboratories without requiring three-phase or 208/240 V service. It provides 600 W power consumption at ultimate pressure and 1,200 W total rated power.
With a DN25 ISO-KF inlet, DN16 ISO-KF exhaust, <52 dB(A) noise level and 43 kg weight, the ECODRY 40 is ideally suited for turbo pump backing, electron microscopy, mass spectrometry, XPS/AES/SIMS, surface analysis, research coating, vacuum drying, vacuum ovens and general laboratory vacuum systems. Its 300 g/h water-vapour capacity also provides useful tolerance for condensable loads encountered during laboratory pump-down.
For customers currently using a small oil-sealed rotary-vane pump, the ECODRY 40 provides a clean upgrade path: 40 m³/h of dry vacuum without lubricant contacting the process gas, low operating noise and no routine vacuum-oil maintenance from the customer's perspective.
The ECODRY 40 plus is the ideal choice when a laboratory needs substantial dry pumping speed, clean vacuum and simple 120 V operation without stepping up to a larger industrial pump.
