The Leybold NOVADRY ND 65 is a compact, high-performance, 100% oil-free dry screw vacuum pump specifically designed for food processing and packaging applications where moisture, food vapours and process contamination can create costly maintenance problems for conventional oil-sealed vacuum pumps.

Delivering up to 63 m³/h of pumping speed with an ultimate pressure of 0.1 mbar, the ND 65 provides reliable and repeatable vacuum performance for production equipment requiring clean, oil-free vacuum. The 230/460 V, 60 Hz, three-phase configuration uses a 1.5 kW motor and air cooling, eliminating vacuum oil from the compression process while reducing routine maintenance and the risk of oil contamination.

The NOVADRY dry-screw design is engineered for the realities of food production, including water vapour, droplets, organic acids and particles. With a water-vapour capacity of approximately 1.9 kg/h and a water-vapour tolerance of 60 mbar with gas ballast, the ND 65 is particularly well suited to wet food-processing applications where conventional oil-sealed pumps can suffer from contaminated oil, reduced performance and frequent maintenance.

Typical applications include vacuum tumbling, vacuum packaging, thermoforming, food stuffers, meat-processing equipment and other food-production machinery requiring clean and reliable vacuum.

By eliminating vacuum oil from the compression process, the NOVADRY ND 65 removes routine oil changes and oil disposal while eliminating the risk of oil backstreaming into the process. Its air-cooled construction, IP55 protection and robust dry-screw technology provide a practical, low-maintenance solution for demanding production environments.
