The Leybold VARODRY VD 160 HD/O₂ is a high-performance, oil-free dry screw vacuum pump designed for demanding industrial processes involving oxygen, aggressive gases, vapours and other challenging process conditions. Delivering approximately 155 m³/h (91 CFM) of pumping speed with an ultimate pressure below 0.01 mbar, the VD 160 provides the pumping capacity required for large chambers, high-throughput processes and demanding production environments.

The HD/O₂ configuration goes beyond conventional dry-pump construction with an integrated purge system, stainless-steel exhaust components and additional manufacturing precautions to minimize hydrocarbon contamination within the pump. The VD 160 HD/O₂ has been tested and accredited for oxygen applications up to 100% O₂, making it particularly attractive where conventional oil-sealed pumps are unsuitable or present contamination and safety concerns.
