The Leybold VARODRY VD 65 (P/N 111065V11) is a compact, oil-free dry screw vacuum pump designed for industrial applications where clean, reliable vacuum is required without the maintenance and contamination associated with conventional oil-sealed pumps.

Delivering approximately 65 m³/h of pumping speed with an ultimate pressure around 0.01 mbar, the VD 65 provides an excellent balance of vacuum performance, energy consumption and compact size. This 3-phase 230/460 V, 60 Hz configuration uses a 1.5 kW motor, air cooling and IP55 industrial protection.

The standard VD 65 is ideally suited to relatively clean industrial processes where a continuous purge system is not required. Typical applications include industrial drying, degassing, heat treatment, vacuum furnaces, PVD and coating, battery manufacturing and general production vacuum.

Because the VARODRY uses dry screw technology, there is no vacuum oil in the compression chamber. This eliminates routine vacuum-oil changes, oil disposal and the risk of oil backstreaming into the customer's process, making it an attractive replacement for conventional rotary-vane pumps.

The VD 65 is the compact entry point into the VARODRY industrial range. For customers who need more capacity, the VD 100 and VD 160 provide a straightforward path to higher pumping speeds, while the VD 65 Purge is available when the process introduces significant moisture, vapours or contaminants.
